How to Create a Purchase Order
- 1Enter the buying business name. Add a logo, address, phone, email, website, or tax ID only if they should appear on the PO.
- 2Add the vendor or supplier name. Contact person, phone, email, and address are optional.
- 3Confirm the PO number and date. Set expected delivery and a reference or project name if you use those fields.
- 4Add goods or services with quantity, unit, and unit price. Include SKU or HSN when the vendor needs them. Apply discount or tax only if they belong on the order.
- 5Use notes for ship-to instructions. Check the live preview, then download PDF, print, or export PNG or JPG.
Purchase order vs quotation vs invoice
Issue a purchase order when you are the buyer committing a request to a supplier. A quotation is the seller’s priced offer. An invoice is the seller asking you to pay. This generator labels the document as a Purchase Order and does not treat the total as amount paid.
