Edit PDF FAQ
- What is Edit PDF?
- It stamps an existing PDF: watermark, page numbers, overlay text, a self-sign image, or visual redact boxes. It is not InDesign and not request-e-sign.
- Is visual redact forensic?
- No. A black rectangle covers the page view. Hidden text may still exist in the file. Do not use this for classified sanitization.
- Can others sign by email?
- No. Self-sign places your PNG/JPG on a page. There is no email request or audit trail.
- Are files uploaded?
- No. Stamps run in the browser. A draft of the PDF and stamp options can stay on this device. Toolshelf does not receive the file.
